After a successful launch event in September Business Enabler of the Year (2018), Growhouse, has announced the details of it’s second People Matters Lunch.
In September a small group of senior business people gathered for lunch at Opus Restaurant on Cornwall Street in the heart of Birmingham’s Colmore Business District.
After the event Richie Hubball of the Blyth Group said: “we were greeted with great food and great conversation. It was good to see the difference in opinion across different industries throughout our topical discussions and most of all, it was good to connect with other professionals.”
Special guest, Myles Downey, got the conversation going with some thoughts on unlocking higher levels of performance in business teams. The conversation buzzed round the room whilst those attending enjoyed a 2 course lunch from Opus’ amazing fine dining menu.

A really rounded group of people from different sectors, with different roles and with different business targets made for colourful and stimulating debates about management and leadership and how the world is changing and what we need to do as leaders to evolve with it. A great use of time and at least five nuggets I now use on a regular basis as a leader of both a business and of people.”
The second People Matters lunch will be held back at Opus Restaurant on the 4thof December. Special guest, Vanessa Clarke of Birmingham City Business School, will be getting the conversation going with some thoughts on measuring the impact of so called ‘soft’ interventions like coaching.
Robert Heed of Growhouse said: “We wanted to create an informal, sales free, environment where people could share their knowledge and experience about growing businesses through developing the people who work in them. If the conversation over lunch in December is half as good as it was in September it will be a hugely valuable opportunity to learn from each other.”
Growhouse is building a name for itself in Birmingham and beyond for their work enabling managers and leaders to unlock higher levels of performance in their team. In early October Growhouse was named “Business Enabler of the Year 2018” at the City of Birmingham Business Awards.
